Description: The UNC Law Student Animal Legal Defense Fund is hosting an Animal Law Symposium. The symposium will have speakers who are experts in various aspects of animal law in the state of North Carolina. We will divide those speakers into 3 separate panels organized by topic. The topics this year include: equine law, Wake County’s Trap, Neuter, and Return Ordinance, and North Carolina puppy mill legislation. The hope is to encourage members of the community to engage in the issues surrounding animal law, and to spread awareness about the current status of animal law locally and nationally.
Cost: $5 to the general public; free to UNC students, staff and faculty.
